Cats are welcome in almost every property in the city as long as there are not more than two per unit. A lot of properties have weight and breed restrictions for dogs, although there are a few that don't have any restrictions at all. Some important things to look for when renting an apartment with your pet are:
- Pet deposit: every property has an additional deposit for having a pet in the unit. This ranges anywhere from $200 - $800 with part being refundable as long as there is no damage to the unit when you move out.
- Pet rent: some properties have begun charging a monthly fee for having a pet in the apartment. This charge ranges anywhere from $10 - $30 per month and sometimes depends on the size of the pet.
- Dog runs/dog parks: the most pet-friendly properties offer outdoor spaces for our canine friends to stretch their legs and play. Ask us about which properties offer this wonderful amenity.
